  • Continued dialogue w/ Virginia Dept. of Health Professionals, letter writing campaign - great response from sports organizations, medical associations, public institutions, private individuals
  • Early draft of bill to regulate AT in Virginia
  • Completed restructuring of Executive Committee
  • Vice President of VATA 1986-88
  • Legislative Committee Chair 1990-92

1986-1988 PRESIDENT

Ron Stefancin, MS, ATC

Highlights of Term:

  • Had to prove “harm” was being done to general public in order to gain regulation
  • Established support of VHSL
  • Investigated support from Board of Education instead of Board of Health
  • Served VATA on Legislative Committee 1984-86 and again from 1988-90
  • NATA 25 Year Service Award
