Mission Statement  

The Historical Committee is committed to the preservation and accentuation of the rich history of the Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association. Through collection, documentation and presentation of past accomplishments of the VATA and its members, we hope to highlight the energy & passion we have for our profession.

Tim currently serves as Athletic Trainer at National Sports Medicine Institute in Lansdowne, VA. Previously, he served in Loudoun County Public Schools for seven years as the Head Athletic Trainer at Independence High School and Potomac Falls High School as well as two years as Associate Athletic Trainer at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology in FCPS.

He received his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Longwood University in 2011 and his Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Science from California University of Pennsylvania in 2013. He is a Certified Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He also earned a Leadership Academy Development Certificate through the National Athletic Trainers' Association.

Tim has special interests in the areas of concussion management and exertional heat illness. Tim currently resides in Leesburg, VA with his wife, Chrissy, and daughters, Annie & Ellie. In his free time he enjoys hiking, longboarding, slacklining and biking.
