  1. VATA Constitution, Article II: Objectives, Objective 2.

  • Current language: To encourage better working relationships among all persons interested in the health and well-being of athletes.

  • Proposed language: To encourage better working relationships among all persons interested in the health and well-being of patients.

  • Rationale: Due to the broadening of settings in which Athletic Trainers are now practicing, this change more accurately reflects current practice and aligns with the language from the NATA.
