James Kegley is a graduate of Liberty University’s Athletic Training Program.  He grew up in Ashland and moved to Columbia, SC after graduating Liberty to start his athletic training career in the NAIA collegiate setting. After a short stint in the collegiate setting, he transitioned into the secondary school setting. He moved back to Richmond in the fall of 2023 and is currently the VCU Health athletic trainer at James River High School. While at Liberty he was a student affairs liaison to the VATA, so when the opportunity came to him to be Region Rep, he was very excited. He hopes to one day be athletic trainer in the public safety setting working with police and fire department personnel.

James currently lives in Midlothian, Virginia. In his free time, he volunteers as an EMT with the Chesterfield Fire & EMS Department. He is excited to be a voice to the VATA for his fellow regional athletic trainers!
