Amy Soucek currently serves as the Sports Medicine Community Liaison and an Athletic Trainer in the Outreach Athletic Training Department at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD) on the Virginia Peninsula. She is also pursuing a master’s in business administration from the College of William & Mary where she volunteers as a student ambassador.
Amy has been a Virginia resident since 2009 upon relocating for graduate school at Old Dominion University. While earning a master’s of science in Athletic Training Education, she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer to Christopher Newport University for two years. While maintaining adjunct athletic trainer status at CNU for an additional five years, she also held positions in a private physical therapy practice and for a regional hospital system in their Sports Medicine & Orthopedics physician specialty practice.
Prior to settling in Virginia, she received her bachelors of science in athletic training from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and graduated from Tioga Central High School in rural upstate New York. She currently resides in Hampton with her husband Mathias, a practicing clinical psychologist, and her beloved Samoyed puppy, Nimbus.
